Measurements of 137-Cs and 90-Sr in milk

Updated 2011-01-25

Measurements of 137-Cs and 90-Sr in milk is sub-programme of "radioactivity in the environment". In different sub-programs, yearly repeated sampling is performed. Data are collected with three stands: In Goteborg, Stockholm and Tärnby in AMAP area.

This is not a National Implementation Plan (NIP) project
Comments and additional information:

Since the Tjernobyl accident 1986, radio-nuclides, especially Caesium-137 have been monitored. At present the active sub-programs are: Radio-nuclides particles in air, surface water, drinking water, dairy milk, mixed food, game (moose, roe deer), reindeer, marine sediment, sea water, and fish, whole human body, and radiation from the soil surface.
